Criteria for Judging

All nominations will be evaluated and ranked according to the 5 I’s that are consistent in making great places for bicycling.


level of presence of physical infrastructure or end-of-trip facilities dedicated to bicycle users (i.e. bike racks, storage areas, free tap refill water stations, changing rooms, showers).


level and variety of programs, policies, and plans that enable cycling, promote safety, and support the well-being of active mobility commuters such as education initiatives that aim to increase public awareness of car drivers to respect bicyclists and pedestrians.


of programs and policies that maintain the safety and well-being of cyclists.


weighs in creative solutions and approaches that promote active cycling and walking and utilizes cycling and walking as an enabler for addressing other urban development challenges. This criteria takes into consideration how solutions are designed and adapted based on current capacities (ie: culture, age, size, location, type of industry). This enables us to determine the level of commitment of LGUs/businesses despite existing limitations.


measures the extent of how accessible and welcoming the bike-friendly infrastructure and programs are to a diverse group of populations such as inexperienced cyclists, PWDs, children, women, and the elderly.

A panel of judges will be chosen by the organizers who will evaluate and select the Nationwide Winners and Padyak Champion. The Siklista ng Bayan Awards will be chosen based on the total number of post Likes posted on our Facebook Page.
